Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Upsold ("we", "us") handles through this website and through Upsold Publisher, the private tool that publishes Upsold's videos. Upsold is operated by Bruno Anacleto in British Columbia, Canada.
1. Upsold Publisher and the accounts it uses
Upsold Publisher connects only to accounts owned by Upsold: our YouTube channel, our TikTok account and our Instagram account. It is not available to the public, and no other person signs in to it or authorizes it.
When we authorize Upsold Publisher, it receives the following from each platform:
- YouTube (YouTube API Services): permission to upload videos and set their details on our channel, read-only access to our channel's information and analytics (such as views, watch time and audience retention), and permission to read comments on our own videos and post replies to them, such as corrections.
- TikTok: permission to upload videos to our account's drafts, basic profile information about our account, and our account's video statistics.
- Instagram (Meta): permission to publish content to our professional account, read its basic profile information and insights, and read and reply to comments on our own posts.
- Access tokens issued by each platform so the tool can keep acting on our accounts.
2. How we use this information
We use it only to publish Upsold's own videos and to measure how they perform so we can improve future episodes. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers that host our tool, and only as needed to run it.
3. Comments and public engagement
Upsold Publisher may read public comments, likes and similar engagement on our own videos, in aggregate, to understand audience reaction. We do not build profiles of individual viewers, and we do not store commenters' personal information beyond what is needed for that analysis. Public comments remain governed by the platform where they were posted.
4. Storage, security and retention
Tokens and statistics are stored on a private server we control, with access restricted to the operator. Tokens are kept only while the connection to an account is active and are deleted when it is revoked. Performance statistics are kept for as long as the channel operates, so we can compare episodes over time.
5. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and does not ask for any personal information. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability, under its own privacy policy.
6. Third-party platforms
Upsold Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By watching Upsold on YouTube you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. TikTok's and Instagram's handling of data is described in the TikTok Privacy Policy and the Instagram Privacy Policy.
7. Revoking access
Access granted to Upsold Publisher can be revoked at any time: for Google accounts at Google security settings, and for TikTok and Instagram in each app's settings for connected or authorized apps.
8. Your rights
If you believe we hold personal information about you, you may ask to see, correct or delete it by writing to us at privacy@upsold.ca. We will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
9. Data deletion
To ask us to delete any data we hold about you, including anything received from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook:
- Email privacy@upsold.ca with the subject "Data deletion request".
- Include the platform and your username or profile link so we can find the data. We will not ask for passwords or ID documents.
- We will delete the data within 30 days and confirm by email. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you are not affected.
If you connected an account to Upsold Publisher, you can also remove its access directly, as described in section 7. When access is removed, we delete the related access tokens and any data stored for that account.
10. Children
Upsold is not directed at children under 13, and our videos are not marked as made for kids. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
